Ruled out Wednesday
Carter is out for Wednesday's game against the Hornets with right calf soreness.
Analyse
After dropping a career-high 24 points during Tuesday's 114-109 win over the Pacers, Carter is sitting out the second half of Sacramento's back-to-back. Killian Hayes could be thrust into a featured role at point guard Wednesday, and Nique Clifford should also see more ballhandling chances.

Tallies career-high 24 points
Carter produced 24 points (9-13 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), five rebounds, three assists and one steal in 16 minutes during Tuesday's 114-109 win over the Pacers.
Analyse
After playing no minutes in the first half, Carter looked like he would be left out of head coach Doug Christie's rotation for the night, but an opportunity opened up after fellow guard Malik Monk injured his ankle in the second quarter and was unable to return. Carter proceeded to catch fire upon checking into the game with just over four minutes left in the third quarter. He ended up setting a new career-high mark in scoring, dropping 22 of his 24 points in the fourth quarter. Sean Cunningham of Fox 40 Sacramento pointed out that Carter appeared to be walking with a limp after the victory, so it'll be worth keeping an eye on his status leading up to the second half a back-to-back Wednesday against Charlotte. With Monk in jeopardy of missing that contest, Carter could take on a more pronounced role if available Wednesday.
