Analyse
Carrington has scored in double digits in his four appearances since returning to the starting lineup March 17, but he's been up and down with his three-point shooting over that span. The Pittsburgh standout, who's shooting a career-best 39.2 percent from deep in 2025-26, might be making 48 percent of his threes over that aforementioned four-game stretch, but in that span, he's gone 1-for-4 (vs. New York) and 1-for-6 (vs. Detroit) from beyond the arc. The numbers are strong on the surface, but the game-to-game performances are inconsistent, ultimately limiting his upside as a reliable long-range option.

Analyse
Making his third straight start, Carrington had another strong performance from beyond the arc. With Trae Young (quadriceps/back) looking like he might be done for the season, Carrington's spot in the starting five seems secure, and during his current three-start run he's averaging 19.7 points, 4.3 boards, 3.7 threes and 3.0 assists while shooting 59.0 percent from the floor and 52.4 percent (11-for-21) from beyond the arc.

Carrington logged 30 points (12-16 FG, 6-8 3Pt), four rebounds and two assists in 37 minutes during Tuesday's 130-117 loss to Detroit.
Analyse
Carrington exploded for a season-high 30 points, matching his combined total from the four previous games. As usual, Washington continues to shuffle its rotation on a nightly basis, meaning fantasy production cannot be relied upon. With that said, Trae Young is now dealing with a quad injury, which could provide Carrington with an opportunity to play consistent minutes. While he won't be this good very often, he is worth taking a flier on, particularly with three potential games remaining this week.
