Analyse
Mathurin got off to a slow start in his return from an 11-game absence, scoring just two points while missing all three of his field-goal attempts in the first half. However, he completely flipped the script after halftime and had the hot hand during the fourth quarter. He's going to get all the shots he wants on this Pacers team that is desperate for some scoring, so as long as he can stay healthy, Mathurin should be primed for a career year.

In two regular-season appearances, Mathurin has averaged 31.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists while shooting 50.0 percent from beyond the arc in 36.5 minutes per contest.

Analyse
Mathurin has missed the past 11 games for Indiana, but his return is suddenly on the horizon. If he does get the green light, it's fair to expect some type of restrictions early on. However, with so many key injuries for Indiana, it may not be long before Mathurin's usage rate is through the roof.

Mathurin (toe) is not ready to return yet but is "getting close," head coach Rick Carlisle told Alex Golden of the 'Setting the Pace' podcast. "He's moving in a good direction," Carlisle said.
