The Tigers transferred Perez (back) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Tuesday.

The transaction frees up a spot on the 40-man roster for catcher Tomas Nido, whose contract was selected from Triple-A Toledo. As a result of the move, Perez won't be eligible to make his 2025 debut with the Tigers until late May while he recovers from lumbar spine inflammation.
