It was his fifth multi-hit game of the season, four of which have come over his last six outings. Guerrero has yet to hit a home run and has started the 2025 campaign slashing .288/.367/.346 with six walks, five runs, three doubles and four RBI across 60 plate appearances.

Inks massive contract extension
Guerrero and the Blue Jays agreed Sunday on a 14-year, $500 million contract extension, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.
Analyse
Guerrero will be a mainstay in the Toronto lineup for many years to come, inking a lucrative deal to remain with the Blue Jays through the 2039 campaign. The first baseman has produced a career .288/.363/.499 slash line with 160 home runs over six-plus seasons with the team, which has earned him the third-largest contract in MLB history. Guerrero is batting .256/.333/.333 with three doubles, four RBI and three runs scored over 45 plate appearances in 10 games this season.

On base three times in loss
Guerrero went 2-for-3 with a walk in Friday's loss to the Mets.
Analyse
The Blue Jays managed only four hits in total on the day, with George Springer collecting the other two. Guerrero is still looking for his first homer of 2025 and is batting .267 (8-for-30) with three doubles and three RBI, but the first baseman has reached base in all eight of Toronto's games so far. A breakout performance could come at any time.
