Burke struggled early, allowing three runs over the first four innings before Bo Bichette extended New York's advantage with a solo homer in the fifth. The right-hander nevertheless completed six frames without issuing a free pass, and Chicago's three-homer outburst in the bottom of the sixth ultimately got him off the hook for the loss. The four runs were the most Burke has allowed in a start over his last 10 outings, a dominant stretch in which he posted a 1.60 ERA with a 79:11 K:BB across 62 innings.
