Goes four innings in loss
Rodriguez (2-1) took the loss Monday against the Dodgers, allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks across four innings. He struck out one.
Analyse
Monday's outing was Rodriguez's fifth of the season and marked his first time failing to complete five innings. The left-hander suffered his first loss of the year and yielded a two-run home run to Freddie Freeman in the third inning. Rodriguez has been serviceable since coming off the IL in early August, though his ERA has tumbled to 5.33 after 25.1 innings. He's on pace to face the Astros this weekend.

Allows season-high five runs
Rodriguez did not factor into the decision in a win over the Mets on Wednesday, allowing five runs on five hits and one walk over 5.1 innings while striking out five.
Analyse
Rodriguez was cruising early, producing four consecutive 1-2-3 innings to open the contest before issuing a walk to Brandon Nimmo to open the fifth. The lefty would then go on to surrender hits to three of the next five batters, including a two-run homer from Harrison Bader as the Mets tied the game at four runs apiece. Rodriguez gave up a season-high five runs on the night while striking out five and walking one for the third-consecutive outing. He's now allowed at least three runs in three of his four starts since returning to the rotation, though he's also managed to go at least five innings in every outing thus far.
