Closing in on rehab assignment

Bichette (calf) ran the bases Monday and will do so again Wednesday, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

It's a big step as he works his way back from a right calf strain which initially cropped up nearly two months ago. Bichette will travel with the Blue Jays to Atlanta this weekend to continue ramping things up and is expected to be ready for a rehab assignment soon. He's tracking toward a return by mid-September.
