What is the Academy Competition?

As of Game Week 371, the "Training Competition" has become the "Academy Competition". Players who aren't in a competition can be entered into Academy for additional XP. You can enter up to three (3) lineups in training with any combination of scarcity (Unique, Super Rare, Rare, and Limited), except Commons. 

Cards played in Academy earn 2x the XP. Cards entered in a competition earn XP as normal. Other cards in your collection get a flat XP amount of 75, as long as you've registered one (1) lineup in the Game Week. This allows you to level up your cards when you do not enter them into other competitions during a given Game Week. 

XP Formula

Every card that you use in a tournament will earn XP for that Game Week, based on the following formula:

XP = (base xp + team minutes played xp + player score xp)

• base xp = 75
  
• team minutes played xp = (75 * average minutes played by the team) / 90
• player score xp = the total score of the team that the player card was used in, multiplied by 0.125

Leveling Up

Cards earn XP linearly based on how frequently they are used, but they level up more slowly over time. See the table below to understand how your cards gain levels - and bonuses! - based on their XP.
