Secondary market - FAQ

How do I get my cards back if I accepted an offer by accident?

Because of how blockchain technology and digital ownership works, we cannot overturn trades. We recommend that you please trade carefully and double-check everything before accepting offers.

Can I sell a card to a friend at a discount?

Card movements between accounts are monitored. If your account triggers our fraud detection, your accounts may be suspended from play.

Fraud detection: Sorare fraud detection flags accounts that have received a significant percentage of their gallery (cards) for a significantly lower value than the card's average market value. We have put this in place to detect possible multi-accounting from users who are pooling cards together to gain an unfair competitive advantage. We do not define 'significantly' because we want to protect our community from users who may try to abuse the system.

Consequences: If an account is suspected of breaking the rules, they will be notified and suspended from competition for 15 days. We will communicate with the user, and give the user an opportunity to communicate with Sorare. If after 15 days the account is still not in compliance, we may ban the account and associated accounts indefinitely.

How long can transactions take?

The first time a card is traded or transferred on the blockchain, there is usually a bit of delay; however, once this first trade or transfer is made, the card will trade more efficiently on the blockchain, and trades or transfers of that card will typically be completed within a matter of seconds.

Our goal is to always complete transactions efficiently, but delays with card transfers sometimes happen (e.g. 48 to 72 hours) during peak times of demand.

Gas fees can sometimes be the cause of ETH delays. Gas fees are payments made to cover the cost of the computing energy required to process transactions on the Ethereum blockchain. Here is a more technical explanation of gas fees.

During times of significant impact, please check our Discord, Twitter Support, or in-game notifications for updates. If you feel there is still an issue and that you should have received a card already, please submit a ticket.
