NBA Winter Special Edition: Winter Just Got Cooler
Winter is taking over Sorare. A freezing breeze is icing everything it touches, Football and NBA alike have fallen under the snow.
For one full month, every corner of the game is transformed: Winter Special Editions, the Frozen Wheel, Winter Crafting with a brand-new clue, and the second Quick Play Edition, where streaks and cash* rewards let you chase up to $10,000** twice this month.
And it’s December… so yes, gifts are coming. The Wheel returns, and this time, it brings a daily free ticket 🎁
❄️ Ice Cold WNTR Cards
Winter Edition cards, with an exclusive icy design, have landed for every player.
Collect them on the Marketplace until January 1st, 11:59 PM CET.
Among them, 10 players received a special treatment: the animated ICE BREAKER WNTR designs built for the hoopers ready to light up the Christmas Day Games. The coldest cards we’ve ever created, frost cracking on every movement, power radiating through each frame, players frozen mid-action like heroes trapped in time.
And this is only the tip-off. Winter is about to take over Sorare everywhere.
❄️ Winter Quick Play — Two Chances to Chase $10,000**
Winter is here, and Quick Play is stepping back into the game.
Winter Quick Play is made for Managers who want fast action, streak progression, and big rewards. All it takes is one Winter Edition card to begin. You decide the rhythm: play daily or jump in multiple times a day. With no deadlines and no DNPs to worry about, you can shape your strategy on your own terms.
This limited-time game mode runs from Tuesday, December 2nd to Thursday, January 1st at 11:59 PM CET, and requires Managers to use Winter Edition cards to play, hit targets, and climb toward bigger rewards.
Each streak lets you pick 1–3 Winter Edition cards from your Gallery and take on a scoring target that’s +5 points above the card’s L10 average (shown in-product as a +5 target).
Hit your target → claim your prize and extend your streak.
Miss it → streak resets and you can start again
Every success brings you closer to bigger prizes.
Example
A player’s L10 is 29.
Your target is L10 + 5 → Score 34 to pass the level.
For players with an L10 of 15 or lower, targets will be set to 20.
Five minutes after the game ends, if your player card hits or beats the target, you win. From there, you can pick new player cards and chase the next level, you could even complete the entire streak in a single day.
Please note that scores are fully frozen five minutes after the end of the match. These locked scores and stats determine whether your Quick Play attempt succeeds or fails. Any adjustments made by our data provider after this freeze — whether increases or decreases — will not impact the outcome of your mission.
Eligibility
- Only Winter Edition cards
- Cards must not be: in a lineup, in a Mission, listed on the Market, or sealed
- Limited, Rare, Super Rare, and Unique are all playable. Rewards stay the same across scarcities
Timing
Stay sharp, the clock is always ticking. Streaks reset every two weeks, sending you back to Level 1. Reach Level 5 before streaks reset at the end of the window.
There will be two Winter Quick Play windows, each running for roughly two weeks.
Streak Windows:
- Dec 2 to Dec 15 (11:59 PM CET)
- Dec 16 to Jan 1 (11:59 PM CET)
Chase the Big Prize
Levels 1–4 include rewards ranging from $2 Market Credits (terms apply) to $200 cash*.
But beating Level 5 unlocks something far bigger, the final prize reserved for true streak
masters: a $10,000** grand prize.
Only the Managers who complete the full streak and clear Level 5 before the window closes will share the $10,000** equally.
You’ll have two chances to chase the grand prize, one in each Winter Quick Play window. If no one completes the streak during the first December window, the grand prize will increase to $15,000** for the second and final window!

Winter cards are the holy grail this month, powerful, collectible, and now obtainable in even more ways.
From now until January 1st, 11:59 PM CET, every crafted reward and leaderboard prize eligible for a Winter Edition will drop as one.
Introducing a new clue: The Snowglobe Shuffle
Remember the feeling of picking the wrong card, choosing one and then realizing you just missed out on Jokić, Shai or Dončić?
Now you get a second chance.
After you make your pick, you can activate the Snowglobe Shuffle:
It reshuffles the 10 cards revealed in your draw, flips them face-down, and lets you pick again.
This time, no other clues can be used, no division, no position, no Best 5. Just pure instinct.
You need 300 Essence — in both Standard and Lucky Draws — to unlock the clue during a draw.
If you used the Best 5 clue before your first pick, only those 5 cards will be reshuffled.
This new clue melts away with the snow on Jan 1, 11:59 PM CET. Unused clues will be destroyed.
