Won't play Christmas Day
Mitchell (concussion) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Spurs, Clemente Almanza of USA Today reports.
Analysis
Mitchell will miss a second consecutive game while in the league's concussion protocol, which he'll look to clear in time to return for Sunday's game against the 76ers. Cason Wallace, Isaiah Joe and Alex Caruso will continue to see more minutes off the bench in Mitchell's absence.

Ruled out Tuesday
Mitchell (concussion) will not play Tuesday against the Spurs.
Analysis
After leaving Monday's game early, Mitchell has since been diagnosed with a concussion. That makes it unlikely that he'll be cleared in time for Christmas Day against the Spurs. Alex Caruso, Isaiah Joe and Cason Wallace could see more reps in Mitchell's absence.

Leaves for locker room
Mitchell (undisclosed) exited to the locker room in the fourth quarter of Monday's game against the Grizzlies, Clemente Almanza of USA Today reports.
Analysis
It's unclear why Mitchell left for the locker room, though he checked out with 6:29 remaining in the final quarter. If he's unable to return in the final minutes, he'll finish with 16 points (7-13 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds, two assists and two steals in 22 minutes.

Productive off bench Thursday
Mitchell ended with 16 points (7-15 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds, five assists and two steals in 29 minutes off the bench during Thursday's 122-101 win over the Clippers.
Analysis
Nine of those points came in the fourth quarter, as Mitchell took advantage of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander getting pulled early in the big win. It was the first time in five games that Mitchell scored in double digits, while the seven boards tied his season high. The second-year guard typically doesn't see that kind of shot volume -- he last attempted double-digit field goals against the Jazz on Nov. 21. Through six games (two starts) to begin December, Mitchell is averaging 10.0 points, 3.7 assists, 3.5 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 1.2 threes in 26.0 minutes a contest despite shooting 50.0 percent from the floor and 46.7 percent (7-for-15) from long distance.
