The Championship Chase Arrives on Sorare NBA

When the regular season ends, the real battle begins. Welcome to the NBA Playoffs on Sorare, where every dribble, dunk, and three-pointer carries the weight of history in the making. As the Playoffs get set to take off, we’re announcing some amazing ways to take part in the action right on Sorare.

Game Week Schedule

For the duration of the Playoffs, we’ll be running Game Weeks (GW) on an altered schedule:

Specific GW start and end times may change as the full NBA Playoffs schedule is revealed.

Gameplay Formats & Competitions

We will be running two kinds of gameplay:

As normal, we will feature individual Game Week competitions. You’ll be able to submit fresh lineups each GW.

Each of these lineups entered will also count toward The Championship Chase. This is a Playoff-long leaderboard in which each GW score is cumulatively totaled, from the Play-In Games through the NBA Finals. You’ll have the chance to change your strategy each week to ensure you find the right roster to lead you to the top of the leaderboards.

Garage Hoops, Rec League, Streetball, Limited Tip-Off  will also run for Playoff GWs. However, these will not be a part of the cumulative Playoff leaderboards. 

Whether you’re participating in Game Week competitions or challenging yourself in the Playoff-long race, we’ve got something for all Sorare NBA Managers.

Rewards

$100K in Total Cash Rewards

This year, we’re excited to reward $100,000 in Total Cash Rewards across both gameplay formats. We’re not talking about credits to redeem for merch, either. Managers will have the opportunity to win cash across both standard Game Weeks and the Championship Chase.

Cash reward allocations for each Game Week will remain the same as the regular season throughout the Playoffs.

For the Championship Chase leaderboards, we’ll also be rewarding top Managers. These rewards will be paid out to top cumulative performers at the end of the Playoffs. The total cash reward prize pool per scarcity will be as follows:

Cards

Regular Edition 

As normal, Regular Edition Cards will be rewarded each Game Week. The distribution rate may change as the Playoffs progress.

Special Edition 

Special Edition cards will be rewarded to top performers in the Championship Chase. Here’s what you need to know:

• These cards are elite; only the 16 teams that make it to the Playoffs will have these Special Edition Cards minted. This does not include teams eliminated in the Play-In Games
• These cards will be available in Limited, Rare, Super Rare, and Unique scarcities
• No gameplay bonuses are applied to these Special Edition Cards. They will carry a Special Edition bonus for their Collection Score.
• The Special Edition Cards will be part of a player’s existing card population. For example, if Rare Serial 52/100 is a standard edition, then Rare Serial 53/100 could be the Postseason edition for the same player.

VIP Experiences & Signed Merch

For the Championship Chase playoffs on Sorare NBA, we want to continue delivering amazing VIP experiences to the best Managers. 

Top performers will clinch VIP Packages to their choice of a marquee NBA event: the 2024 In-Season Tournament, the 2025 NBA Paris Game, or the star-studded 2025 NBA All-Star Game. These aren’t just tickets; they’re your pass to the heart of the action.

Our player ambassadors past and present are also making sure that the best performances get rewarded with memorable prizes. Player-worn jerseys, signed merch, and other amazing items from Paolo Banchero, Donovan Mitchell, Jalen Brunson, Mikal Bridges, and Karl-Anthony Towns are in play. And it doesn’t stop there: a few items from a certain top rookie will also be in the prize pool.

NBA Playoffs Collection Event

Sorare is turning up the heat with our Conference Finals Collection Event. Dive into the electrifying world of NBA playoffs and unlock your chance to witness history in the making.

Collect cards from any of the 16 NBA Playoff Teams, and let the magic of the playoffs fuel your strategy. Play-In teams are watching from the sidelines and won’t be part of this Event.

The prize? Two lucky Managers will be chosen to attend a Conference Finals game of their choice. Not only will you get to pick the game but we’re also throwing in a $1,000 Travel Voucher* for each winner to get there in style.

The rules of engagement: All collections are in play, whether they are from 2022 or 2023. The challenge runs until May 3, 2024, so be on the lookout for the specific rules as we approach the start of the playoffs.
