Upgrades to Sorare: MLB Platform Infrastructure
Over the past several weeks, we have been making investments to improve our infrastructure, allowing us to streamline development and support across all sports. In the coming days and weeks, you may experience some changes to the Sorare: MLB user interface as a result.
Later today, we are releasing our first set of changes to positively impact the experience for Sorare: MLB Managers.
Tier Adjustments
As part of our ongoing initiative to improve tiers, we are aligning methodologies across sports. This means that MLB tiers will be calculated more dynamically than before, and tier naming will align to the Sorare Football conventions:
- Tier 1 is now Star
- Tier 2 is now Tier 1
- Tier 3 is now Tier 2
- Tier 4 is now Tier 3
- Tier 5 is now Tier 4
We will continue to refine tier calculations throughout the season and further adjustments will be communicated as they are incorporated.
Lobby Improvements
You can now navigate previous, current, and future Game Weeks with ease using the calendar at the top of the screen
Improved Competition Details
We’ve made it easier to scan what rewards are available for each competition based on finishing position, and to understand the card eligibility requirements for each competition.
Collection Bonus Application
Collection Bonuses will temporarily be applied differently. Once you’ve submitted a lineup, the scoring bonus is locked in. Should you enhance your Collection to unlock a higher scoring bonus while a lineup is already submitted, you’ll need to resubmit that lineup to receive the updated bonus. This aligns to how Collection Bonuses are applied in Football, but we will adjust this back to the dynamic application you’re used to in MLB in the coming weeks.
Prior Game Week Rewards
Any unclaimed rewards from GW8 or before will be claimed automatically as a result of this infrastructure migration. Moving forward, rewards will still be manually claimable as they have been in the past.
Game Week 11 Opening
The opening of Game Week 11 may be slightly delayed beyond the start of Game Week 10 while some remaining aspects of the infrastructure are migrated during this window. This delay should not last longer than one hour.
Throughout the season, we will regularly communicate any additional changes resulting from these infrastructure improvements. We will be conducting a similar exercise for Sorare NBA in the offseason.
These changes are part of our ongoing commitment to delivering an exceptional experience for all Managers. Your ongoing support is invaluable – reach out to our Help Desk, tag us at @SorareSupport on X, or join our Discord to share your feedback!
