Retreats to bench Tuesday
Wallace will come off the bench in Tuesday's game against the Rockets, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.
Analysis
With Trae Young (hamstring) returning to game action, Wallace will slide to the bench. The 26-year-old got the spot start for Young in Monday's loss to Minnesota, during which he posted 13 points (4-12 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven assists, three rebounds and two steals across 35 minutes.

Productive in spot start
Wallace supplied 13 points (4-12 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, seven assists and two steals across 35 minutes during Monday's 100-92 loss to Minnesota.
Analysis
Wallace was recalled from the G League's College Park Skyhawks earlier in the day and ended up replacing Trae Young who was ruled out due to a hamstring injury. Dyson Daniels was also a late scratch with an ankle issue, presenting Wallace with an opportunity to once again prove himself on the big stage. While he wasn't able to build on his big 27-point, six-assist outing from his last appearance with the Hawks on Jan. 15, Wallace was productive enough for anybody that streamed him or used him in DFS. Both Young and Daniels could be back in action Tuesday versus the Rockets, in which case Wallace will likely head to the bench and potentially move out of the rotation.

Analysis
With Trae Young (hamstring), Dyson Daniels (ankle) and Jalen Johnson (shoulder) all on the shelf, Wallace will get the starting nod Monday. The two-way guard has started in two outings this season, during which he has amassed 34 points (13-31 FG, 5-13 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 14 assists, eight rebounds and four steals across 70 total minutes.

The Hawks recalled Wallace from the G League's College Park Skyhawks on Monday.
Analysis
With Trae Young (hamstring) sitting out Monday's game in Minnesota, Wallace should have a good chance at cracking the Atlanta rotation, either as a starter in Young's stead or as a backup to Dyson Daniels, who could slide over from shooting guard to point guard. Wallace made his last appearance for the Hawks on Jan. 15 when Atlanta was without Young and several other key players due to injuries, scoring a career-high 27 points (10-18 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 3-3 FT) to go with six rebounds, six assists and four steals across 38 minutes in a 110-94 win over the Bulls.
