Officially ruled out Sunday
Holiday (finger) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Nuggets, Zack Cox of the Boston Herald reports.
Analysis
As expected, Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis (illness) have both been downgraded from doubtful to out, while Jaylen Brown (knee) will be available. Holiday's next chance to suit up will come Wednesday in Portland, but the veteran has missed seven of the last 10 games due to a nagging injury that the Celtics are terming as mallet finger. Given Boston's current spot in the standings, there's no reason to rush Holiday back into action until he's closer to full health. Sam Hauser and Payton Pritchard are candidates for increased roles in Holiday's absence.

Listed doubtful for Sunday
Holiday (finger) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Nuggets, Jay King of The Athletic reports.
Analysis
A decision on Holiday's status will be made closer to Sunday's 1 p.m. ET tipoff, but it wouldn't be surprising if he ends up missing a game for the seventh time in Boston's last 10. If the veteran floor general sits out Sunday's game, Payton Pritchard and Sam Hauser could soak up most of his minutes.

Ruled out Friday
Holiday (finger) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Cavaliers, Taylor Snow of the Celtics' official site reports.
Analysis
Holiday will miss his sixth game in the last nine for the Celtics due to a finger injury on his right hand. The defensive-minded guard not being on the floor against Cleveland is a costly loss for Boston, with Payton Pritchard and Sam Hauser likely tasked with picking up the slack against one of the best backcourts in the NBA this season.

Iffy for Friday
Holiday (finger) is questionable for Friday's game against Cleveland, Zack Cox of the Boston Herald reports.
Analysis
Holiday's availability has been sporadic lately, and he's now nursing a right finger issue. The veteran guard's status for Friday's showdown should be updated closer to tipoff. With Jaylen Brown also iffy to play with a thigh injury, the Celtics may need both Al Horford and Sam Hauser to make spot starts against Cleveland.

Available to play
Holiday (rest) will be available for Wednesday's game against Detroit, Taylor Snow of the Celtics' official site reports.
Analysis
After sitting out Tuesday's game against the Raptors for the first game of this back-to-back set, Holiday is all set to return to the lineup. Jaylen Brown (thigh) and Kristaps Porzingis (illness) are both questionable, so there could be some extra usage for Holiday to soak up.

Won't play Tuesday
Holiday (rest) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against Toronto, Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports.
Analysis
Holiday will receive the night off during the first leg of the club's back-to-back set. His next chance to play will come Wednesday against Detroit. With the veteran guard sidelined, Payton Pritchard and Sam Hauser will likely see a bump in minutes.
