Won't debut Friday
Niang (trade pending) is out for Friday's game versus the Bucks.
Analysis
Niang has been downgraded from questionable to out Friday as the trade sending him from Cleveland to Atlanta is still being finalized. However, GM Lary Fields hopes to have Niang on the road trip that begins Saturday against Washington, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.

Niang (recently traded) is listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Bucks.
Analysis
Niang will look to make his Hawks debut on Friday, though his next chance to feature will come Saturday against Washington if one day proves to be too quick of a turnaround. The forward played fairly significant minutes for Cleveland before the trade, and over his last 10 outings, he averaged 9.6 points and 3.7 rebounds across 22.6 minutes per contest.

The Cavaliers traded Niang and Caris LeVert, along with draft picks, to the Hawks on Thursday in exchange for De'Andre Hunter, ESPN's Shams Charania reports.
Analysis
Niang was in the midst of a solid season for the Cavaliers, producing averages of 8.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists while shooting 40.0 percent from beyond the arc. He could have a similar role in Atlanta, as the franchise will not have Jalen Johnson (shoulder) for the remainder of the season. The Hawks may not be done making moves.

Analysis
Niang has reached double figures in four of his last five outings for Cleveland as he continues to provide a lift off the bench. During that stretch, Niang has produced averages of 12.4 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.0 three-pointers in 23.3 minutes per game.
