Analysis
Suarez successfully protected a one-run, ninth-inning lead, needing just nine pitches to retire three batters. Suarez was tasked with facing the 2-3-4 batters in the Cubs' order. He sent down Seiya Suzuki and Kyle Tucker quickly before coming out on top in a 10-pitch duel with Justin Turner. Suarez has now converted all four save chances and has yet to allow a hit while posting a 6:1 K:BB.

Suarez's start to the regular season has made his disastrous spring training feel like a distant memory. He's now converted all three of his save opportunities while striking out four batters and allowing just one man to reach base via a walk. The 34-year-old remains one of the most reliable relievers in the game and doesn't appear to be at risk of losing his hold on the Padres' closer job.
