Two steals in Sunday's loss
Straw went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and a run scored in Sunday's 2-1 loss to the Cardinals.
Analysis
This was Straw's first start since he joined the big club Sept. 17, as he got to play with Lane Thomas getting some rest. Straw has often appeared off the bench, playing in six games, but he's 1-for-3 with two steals and two runs scored. His speed and defense will be a benefit for the Guardians over the final week of the regular season, but there's no guarantee Straw gets a spot on the postseason roster.

Set for big league return
Straw was selected from Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday.
Analysis
Straw's promotion comes with Steven Kwan heading to the 10-day injured list and Carlos Carrasco being designated for assignment. Straw has not appeared in the majors since the end of the 2023 season for Cleveland. The 29-year old has slashed .243/.317/.351 for Triple-A Columbus since the start of September.
