Rejoining lineup Tuesday
Arraez (shoulder) is batting leadoff as the designated hitter Tuesday against the Angels.
Analysis
The 27-year-old sat out Monday's contest due to an injury he suffered on a slide Sunday, and he'll be eased back into the lineup Tuesday in a non-defensive capacity. Arraez is in the midst of an eight-game hit streak, during which he's hitting .375 with no extra-base hits, five RBI and five runs.

Could hit off bench
Arraez (shoulder) might be available to pinch hit Monday against the Angels, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.
Analysis
Arraez departed Sunday's game against the Royals after a slide into second base, and his name wasn't listed in the starting lineup for Monday's matchup. "Luis came in today, feels better," said manager Mike Shildt. "We don't feel like it's anything structural, which is another thing that's encouraging. It's just a matter of he's sore. Got some stiffness, some soreness." The Padres appear to be exercising caution with Arraez and could use him in a pinch-hit scenario Monday evening if the situation arises.

Not starting Monday
Arraez is not in the starting lineup for Monday's series opener against the Angels after exiting Sunday's game in the fifth inning due to an apparent neck/shoulder injury.
Analysis
The lefty-hitting Arraez wasn't able to finish out Sunday's series finale following an awkward slide into second base, and the injury appears to be bothering him enough to keep him out of Monday's matchup. The Padres have yet to provide an update on Arraez's status, so he'll be considered day-to-day until more information comes to light. Donovan Solano will start at first base Monday, while Jurickson Profar will serve as the designated hitter.

Collects four hits and two RBI
Arraez went 4-for-5 with two RBI and three runs scored in Friday's victory over Kansas City.
Analysis
Arraez was ever himself, lacing four singles for his fourth four-hit night with San Diego since joining them on May 4. Overall, it is the 27-year-old's fifth four-hit game of the season as he had one in Miami too. He also managed to collect his ninth and tenth RBI as a Padre with a two-run RBI knock in the eighth inning. Arraez sports a .342/.380/.413 slash line in 256 total plate appearances with 35 runs and 15 RBI.
