Heading to bench Wednesday
Jimenez is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Dodgers.
Analysis
Jimenez experienced a brief scare when he experienced some soreness in his hamstring in his first game back from the injured list in Sunday's 11-2 loss to the Tigers, but he proceeded to serve as the White Sox's designated hitter in both of the first two games of the series with the Dodgers. He went 2-for-9 between the two contests, smacking a double while driving in a run. Jimenez didn't report any setbacks with the hamstring coming out of either game against the Dodgers, so he's likely just getting a planned day off Wednesday.

Three-game hitting streak
Jimenez went 1-for-5 with a double and an RBI on Tuesday against the Dodgers.
Analysis
Jimenez started in his third consecutive game since being activated from the injured list Sunday, and he has one hit in each contest. His performance Tuesday marked his first extra-base hit in that span, and he also has one RBI and one run scored. Jimenez has hit either third or fourth in every game since his return.

Will be in Monday's lineup
Jimenez (hamstring) will be in the lineup for Monday's contest against the Dodgers, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Analysis
The White Sox haven't yet released their lineup for the series opener, but Jimenez has evidently received the green light to make a second consecutive start. Jimenez was noticeably gimpy while running the bases in Sunday's 11-2 loss to the Tigers in his first game back from a stint on the injured list due to a left hamstring strain. The apparent aggravation of the hamstring injury won't cause him to miss any starts, at least not yet. Certainly, Jimenez will remain a major injury risk as he attempts to play through some discomfort.

Dealing with soreness
Jimenez is dealing with hamstring soreness after going 1-for-4 with a run scored in in Sunday's 11-2 loss to the Tigers, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Analysis
Jimenez made his return to the lineup Sunday after missing a month with a left hamstring strain, and he now appears to be dealing with a potential setback. The White Sox are set to launch a three-game series at home versus the Dodgers on Monday and the 27-year-old's status is worth monitoring.

Reinstated off IL, starting Sunday
The White Sox reinstated Jimenez (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Sunday.
Analysis
Jimenez will serve as the designated hitter and bat third for Sunday's series finale against the Tigers. Jimenez strained his left hamstring while scoring from second base against the Blue Jays on May 21, prompting his placement on the injured list one day later. In his rehab assignment, he went 8-for-18 with one double, one home run and five RBI in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League. Jimenez is slashing .231/.288/.381 with five home runs and 12 RBI over 146 plate appearances this season, though the 27-year-old was in the midst of a five-game hitting streak prior to his injury.

Could return Monday
White Sox manager Pedro Grifol said Saturday that Jiminez (hamstring) could be reinstated off the injured list as soon as Monday, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Analysis
Grifol noted that Jimenez is "up to 90 [percent] running, he's passed the test" when it comes to his left hamstring strain. Jimenez began his rehab assignment with the rookie-level Arizona Complex League White Sox on June 13, and across six outings he's gone 8-for-18 with one double, one home run and five RBI. Jimenez was one a five-game hitting streak and slashed .286/.359/.457 over his last 10 major-league games before the injury.
