Nunez (forearm) has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2024 season, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
Analysis
Nunez has been dealing with a lingering forearm injury he initially sustained in late July. Nunez was reinstated Aug. 23 but was placed back on the shelf Aug. 29 when his flexor injury returned. The right-hander appeared in 25 games for the Mets, logging a 2.31 ERA and a 0.91 WHIP across 35 innings. He posted a 48:8 K:BB.
