Makes return from IL
The Pirates reinstated Holderman (wrist) from the 15-day injured list Sunday.
Analysis
With the active roster expanding from 26 to 28 men Sunday, the Pirates will bring aboard two relievers in Holderman and Ryan Borucki (wrist), both of whom were activated from the IL. Holderman had been on the shelf since Aug. 8 with a sprained wrist but looks to be good to go after tossing an inning for Triple-A Indianapolis in each of his five rehab appearances.

Travels to Cleveland
Holder (wrist) joined the Pirates in Cleveland on Saturday, Noah Hiles of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Analysis
Holderman has been on the injured list since Aug. 8 due to a sprained right wrist. He began his rehab assignment with Triple-A Indianapolis on Aug. 20, and in his three outings he's allowed two runs on three hits and one walk while striking out two across three innings. Holderman and Ryan Borucki (wrist) are expected to join the Pirates roster when it expands to 28 players Sunday.
