Stays hot in loss
Buxton went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run, a second run scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 10-5 loss to the Tigers.
Analysis
Getting a partial breather as the DH but still batting leadoff, Buxton continued a barrage that has seen him bat .340 (16-for-47) over the last 12 games with eight home runs, three steals, 10 RBI and 14 runs. The 31-year-old's 19 homers in only 66 contests this year match the second-highest total of his career, behind the 28 long balls he slugged in 2022 in just 92 contests. He's also a perfect 15-for-15 on the basepaths, which is his best performance in that category since he stole 29 bags on just 30 attempts in 2017. If Buxton can stay healthy, something he's been unable to do throughout his career, he's tracking toward a truly special campaign.

Continues to mash in victory
Buxton went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk, a stolen base and an additional run scored in Friday's 4-1 win over the Tigers.
Analysis
Buxton went deep for the 18th time this year, and his slow start to the season continues to become a distant memory. The speedy center fielder was batting just .203 and slugging .377 as of April 18. Over his most recent 207 plate appearances since and including April 19 (47 games), however, Buxton is slashing a robust .307/.382/.631 with 25 extra-base hits, 41 RBI, 36 runs scored and 10 stolen bases.

Smacks two more homers in loss
Buxton went 3-for-5 with a pair of solo home runs and a stolen base in Sunday's 9-8 loss to the Brewers.
Analysis
Buxton got the Twins on the board in the first inning with a leadoff blast off Quinn Priester, tying the game 1-1, before adding a second homer off Abner Uribe in the sixth. Buxton has been on fire, going 9-for-23 (.391) with six home runs in his last six games. He's boosted his slash line to .285/.353/.575 with 17 homers, 47 RBI, 46 runs scored and 13 steals across 258 plate appearances this season.
