The Rundown – April 8th
Welcome back to “The Rundown,” your go-to source for the latest Sorare: MLB quality of life updates. Since last season, we’ve continued to implement your feedback, delivering key improvements and fixing bugs. Here’s a look at what’s been updated recently:
🔢 XP Update
We identified an issue where cards in lineups were accumulatiing less XP than intended. Here’s how we’re fixing the issue:
✅ Corrected XP will be applied to all Managers’ cards used in Lineups since the start of the season.
✅ The formula has been fixed and will be correctly applied going forward: (Total Lineup Base Score x 2) ÷ 7
Important Notes:
- XP will be applied retroactively to the Cards that earned XP. It will not be added to your XP Reserve.
- If a Card levels up from this adjustment, its cooldown timer will begin based on when the fix is applied.
⚾ MLB Daily To Use Max Scores
We’re updating daily gameplay scoring to keep doubleheaders as part of the strategy while ensuring fairness:
- Instead of removing doubleheader games, we’ll now only count each player’s highest score from the day.
- This preserves the utility of your cards in busy schedules while maintaining competitive balance.
Note: This change does not affect Bi-Weekly gameplay. This will still be scored on a cumulative basis.
📊 Clearer Lineup Scoring:
We’ve refreshed how player scores appear in your lineup view.
From now on, the score shown beneath each player is their base score—excluding all card bonuses, and scarcity bonuses. You’ll still see your lineup’s total bonus score displayed underneath. Tap it to view a detailed breakdown of the bonus points each player’s card adds (XP, scarcity, and collection bonus). This update is now live on web and will be coming soon to iOS.
