As the Sorare NBA season enters its stride, we’re excited to announce updates to our Reward Pool. Designed to create a more balanced and engaging gameplay environment for all Managers, these enhancements ensure that everyone has a rewarding experience as they climb the leaderboard. 

These changes will be reflected in Pro competitions starting with Game Week 12 (opens Monday November 25 and locks Friday November 29)

Rebalancing Champion & Contender Competitions

We recognize the enthusiasm around Contender competitions and are committed to making them even more rewarding. After careful analysis, we’ve identified several areas for improvement in our current reward structure in Limited & Rare:

📏The gap between top prizes and subsequent rankings in Champion competitions was too wide.

🏆Contender lacked sufficient cash allocation, with cash rewards limited to podium finishes only.

To address these issues and create a more balanced and exciting experience, we’re introducing the following changes to the In-Season Champion & Contender prize pools starting with Game Week 12 on November 25th:

 *Total cash prizes. Rewards may be rewarded in cash or ETH.

Please note that leaderboards will no longer reward based on percentages. With sufficient data to predict submissions for each game week, we will continue to reward 25% of lineups and adapt as participation changes.

Revamping In-Season Underdog Competitions

Starting Game Week 12 we are taking steps to making In-Season Limited and Rare Underdog competitions great. In order to more fairly reward top performances in In-Season Underdog competitions, we’re making some adjustments to Classic Underdog as well:

Note that we are only changing where cards are rewarded, and not reducing the total number.

Rewards Boxes

Our commitment to fairly rewarding Managers for their performances is steadfast. We understand that every Game Week presents novel challenges and opportunities, and it’s crucial that our rewards reflect the quality of your gameplay.

By adjusting the contents of the boxes, we aim to create a clearer distinction between different levels of rewards, ensuring that your team is appropriately acknowledged.

Simplifying the Experience

Clarity is key when it comes to understanding what you can win. With this in mind, we’ve simplified the contents of our rewards boxes. Managers will now find it easier than ever to digest what’s inside each box and appreciate the value of the rewards you’re receiving.

No more confusion—just straightforward, meaningful rewards that align with your performance. Let’s take a look:

5-Star Unique Boxes & More Essence for Unique Classic Winners

5 Star Unique Reward Boxes have been an integral part of the Sorare NBA experience. Moving forward, these boxes will now be known as:

• Champion Box
• Contender Box

This renaming allows us to clearly communicate which box is won in which competition. It’s important to note that while the names have changed, the odds of receiving rewards within these boxes remain the same as before.

Additionally, 1st place in both Classic Unique Champion and Contender will now win 7 Unique Essence, providing an even greater incentive for Managers to strive for excellence. This addition not only enhances the value of first but also enriches the highest level of gameplay we have to offer.
