But you asked for more, so we delivered. Welcome to: Rivals Squads – a thrilling new co-op mode where you and your friends team up to rise through the ranks from Division 10 to Division 1 winning rewards along the way. 

An Epic Co-op Mode

Join or create your very own Squad with between 2 and 10 members. Every week you’ll be working not just for individual success but alongside your Squad to climb the ranks and win rewards together.

Your individual performance and progression in Arena games is still a key part of Rivals, but with Rivals Squads the Rep you earn serves a dual purpose. Not only does it count toward your personal leaderboard, but it also contributes to your Squad’s leaderboard. That’s right, your friends are counting on you!

In fact, your Squad’s overall standing is determined by the combined weekly Rep of its top 5 members.

In Rivals Squads, strategy, teamwork, and your football knowledge are the keys to success. Unite with your friends, share your expertise, and rise through the ranks together!


Win with Your Friends and Reap the Rewards

Just like in individual Arena mode, Squads are promoted or relegated every Tuesday based on their performance, with a new leaderboard assigned each week.

Each Squad leaderboard features five Squads— the top Squads earn promotion, while the bottom ones face relegation. However, in the first few weeks of Squads you’ll have increased chances for promotion. As your Squad advances through the divisions, you’ll unlock increasingly valuable rewards.

But that’s not all— the top five performers within your Squad will also receive individual rewards, with the highest-ranking member earning the best prize. So, if you’re the one carrying your team, you’ll be recognized and rewarded for your efforts!

Assemble Your Dream Team

Now it’s time to show the world that you and your friends are the ultimate football tacticians. It’s time to gather your own Avengers of football! 

Create the group chat, discuss strategies, and experience the excitement together. Coach each other on lineup and tactic choices, and then follow each other’s live performances. Even if you’re not playing, you could suggest the key substitution that helps your friend secure a crucial victory.

In Rivals Squads it’s easy to add new friends. Just invite them to your squad and watch them score valuable points for your Squad. Remember, their early Arena victories in Division 10 could earn your Squad key Rep!

You probably have a lot of questions about this new feature. Here are some key details we anticipated:

• Managers can only be part of one Squad at a time.
• Only Managers who have reached Division 9 or better can create a Squad.
• At launch, all Squads will start in Division 10.
• Squads can be public (open for anyone to join until they reach 10 members) or private (invite-only).
• Squads are replacing friendly challenges and becoming the new way to enjoy Sorare Rivals with your friends.
• We have also simplified the navigation: the “Matches” tab is now “My Lineups,” where you can track all the lineups you’ve entered. The games’ list is accessible via the play button on the Arena tab.
