Monk provided 23 points (8-25 FG, 1-9 3Pt, 6-7 FT), five rebounds, six assists and two steals over 49 minutes during Monday's 123-118 double-overtime win over the Heat.
Analysis
Monk didn't have his best shooting line after needing 25 shots to score 23 points, though he still posted an impressive line in general. He's been playing at a high level of late and has reached the 20-point mark in five of his last six outings. Monk should continue to have elevated usage as long as De'Aaron Fox (hip) remains sidelined.

Shines with 26/12 double-double
Monk produced 26 points (9-14 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three rebounds, 12 assists, one block and four steals in 29 minutes during Sunday's 129-99 victory over Golden State.
Analysis
Monk's brilliant play continued with a team-high 26 points. Although De'Aaron Fox's (hip) absence was a contributing factor, Monk's totals have been excellent, independent of Sacramento's injury report. Promoting Monk has proven to be a winning formula, and fantasy managers should expect the production to continue. He's enjoyed a great start to January, averaging 25.7 points, 8.0 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 2.0 steals over three games.

Delivers big line in win
Monk registered 31 points (11-20 FG, 6-12 3Pt, 3-3 FT), two rebounds, six assists and one steal in 33 minutes during Friday's 138-133 victory over the Grizzlies.
Analysis
Promoting Monk to the first unit is the shrewdest move the Kings have made this season. After toiling as the sixth man for two seasons and in reserve roles elsewhere, Monk is finally getting a chance to hold down a full-time job as a starter. He's solidly outperforming the competition below him on the depth chart, and this scenario doesn't look like it will change anytime soon. He'll have ample opportunity to keep posting prolific totals despite an abundance of talent on the roster.

Struggles with three-point shot
Monk closed with 20 points (5-12 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 10-10 FT), two rebounds, six assists and one steal across 32 minutes during Wednesday's 113-107 win over the 76ers.
Analysis
Monk delivered an impressive stat line and reached the 20-point mark for the second time over his last three games. Even though the fact that he went 0-for-5 from beyond the arc might stand out, the truth is that Monk has been struggling with his shot since being promoted to a starting role on Dec. 1. During that 14-game span, he's averaging 16.7 points per game but is only shooting a subpar 32.7 percent from three-point range. Furthermore, his 33.9 percent from deep this season would be his lowest mark of the last five seasons if he doesn't improve it in the coming months.
