Sitting out with sore shoulder
Keith (shoulder) is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game in Kansas City, Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic reports.
التحليل
Keith had to be removed from Tuesday's game with a right shoulder injury. He was able to test out his arm with some fielding drills pregame Wednesday, suggesting that his absence might not last long. The Tigers are idle Thursday before beginning a weekend series in Baltimore. Zach McKinstry is playing second base Wednesday.

Battling shoulder injury
Keith was removed from Tuesday's game versus Kansas City due to a right shoulder injury, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.
التحليل
Keith reportedly suffered the injury on a dive during the fifth inning of Tuesday's contest, and he took himself out of the game once it began to affect his ability to throw the ball, per Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic. He's slated to undergo further testing Wednesday, at which point the Tigers will have more information on the severity of the 23-year-old's injury. If he's unable to play Wednesday, Zach McKinstry and Andy Ibanez would be candidates to fill in at second base.

Homers in key win
Keith went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Monday's 7-6 win over the Royals.
التحليل
Keith made his lone hit count, ripping a two-out home run in the fifth inning that brought the Tigers within a run as they mounted a comeback. Detroit is pushing Minnesota for the final playoff spot, and the rookie Keith has been a key reason why. Over his last 12 contests, the 23-year-old is batting .313 with five runs scored and six RBI.

Tallies three hits Saturday
Keith went 3-for-4 with a run scored in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Orioles.
التحليل
Keith had three of Detroit's seven hits as a team as Corbin Burnes and two Baltimore relievers mostly cruised through the lineup. The young infielder is batting a robust .318 this month, which has helped push his season average up to a respectable .263. Keith was batting just .154 at the end of April, so he's come a long ways during his rookie campaign. The 23-year-old should be set up for a breakout 2025 campaign now that he's seemingly settled in at the MLB level.
