Out until mid-to late-August
Hoskins (thumb) hopes to return by mid-to late-August, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Análise
Hoskins has a Grade 2 UCL sprain in his left thumb, an injury he suffered while applying a tag during Saturday's loss to the Marlins. Andrew Vaughn started at first base for the Brewers on Monday against the Dodgers and could be the primary option there while Hoskins is sidelined. The Brewers placed Hoskins on the 10-day injured list Monday with a Grade 2 left thumb sprain.

Hoskins was hurt during Saturday's loss to the Marlins, and a subsequent MRI revealed the structural damage to his thumb. He'll be eligible to return at the start of the second half, but there's a good chance Hoskins will need more time than that to recover.
