Signs pact with Washington
The Wizards signed Champagnie to a four-year, $10 million deal Sunday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Analyse
Champagnie will remain with the Wizards on a long-term deal in the midst of a career-best year, during which he has averaged 7.5 points and 4.6 rebounds in 18.3 minutes per game over 40 regular-season appearances (15 starts). The 23-year-old has logged 15 outings with double-digit points to go along with two double-doubles during the 2024-25 campaign. He has also shot 50.7 percent from the field and 37.6 percent from beyond the arc this season. Champagnie's contract will be guaranteed through the end of the 2024-25 campaign, followed by three non-guaranteed seasons, per Michael Scotto of USA Today.

Champagnie finished with 10 points (4-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds, two assists, three blocks and two steals over 22 minutes during Saturday's 113-100 win over the Hornets.
Analyse
Champagnie didn't stand out in any particular category, but he delivered a solid all-around showing, filling the stat sheet admirably and recording at least two tallies in each of the five major categories. Champagnie has logged double-digit minutes in his last four appearances, including the last three off the bench, but he's not going to have a lot of fantasy upside outside of the deeper formats if that role doesn't change in the near future.

Champagnie made his 15th start of the season Sunday against the Magic and finished with six points, six rebounds and one block over 31 minutes in a 110-90 loss. Champagnie will retreat to the bench for Monday's game due to Khris Middleton (ankles) being cleared to play.
