Control issues in no-decision
Vasil picked up a no-decision after throwing four shutout innings, allowing two hits and four walks while striking out four during Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Rangers.
Analyse
Walks were an issue for Vasil, but he battled through it to post four zeros on the scoreboard. Four innings was his longest outing on the season, and he sports a very solid 1.99 ERA in 45.1 innings, but the 25-year-old seems destined to head back to the bullpen with the White Sox rotation suddenly getting very crowded with the addition of Aaron Civale via trade Friday.

Getting another start
Vasil is slated to start Saturday's game against the Rangers in Arlington.
Analyse
Vasil will make his second straight start and his third turn in a row through the rotation after making a bulk-relief appearance June 4, but he could soon be headed back to the bullpen. With the acquisition of Aaron Civale on Friday, the White Sox now have six starters, and the rotation will become more crowded once Jonathan Cannon (back) returns from the injured list. Vasil has yet to work more than four innings in an appearance this season, but he's recorded between nine and 11 outs in each of his last four outings.

Allows two runs in first start
Vasil did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 7-5 loss to the Royals, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk with one strikeout over 3.1 innings.
Analyse
Vasil threw 33 of 50 pitches for strikes but managed just two whiffs in his first major-league start. The rookie has yet to allow more than two earned runs in any of his 19 outings this season and now sports a 2.18 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 28:22 K:BB across 41.1 innings. If he gets another turn in the rotation, it would likely come on the road against the Rangers next weekend.
