Aldama chipped in 14 points (5-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT), eight rebounds and two assists in 27 minutes during Tuesday's 121-116 Play-In Game loss to the Warriors.
Analysis
Aldama was a bright spot in the loss, and the Grizzlies may need even more from him Friday if Ja Morant is unable to play -- the guard tweaked his ankle in the loss, though he insists he's fine. Aldama had a terrific regular season, posting averages of 12.5 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.8 three-pointers.

Good to go for Play-In Game
Aldama is not listed on the injury report for Tuesday's Play-In Game against the Warriors.
Analysis
Aldama took a seat along with most of Memphis' other key contributors for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Mavericks, but he's primed to return to action for Tuesday's critical battle with Golden State. He's in line to come off the bench behind Jaren Jackson, but Aldama has still played an important role on the offensive side of the floor for the Grizzlies while riding with the second unit. Over his last 12 regular-season appearances, the 2021 first-rounder averaged 11.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 0.8 steals and 2.0 three-pointers in 27.9 minutes.

Aldama (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Mavericks.
Analysis
As expected, Aldama has been downgraded from doubtful to out and will miss the regular-season finale, marking his first absence since March 17. Almost all of Memphis' regulars will be sidelined Sunday, but they are expected to be fine for the Play-In Tournament.
