After a fairly quiet season opener, Hachimura has seen increased usage the last two contests for a Lakers squad now missing both LeBron James (back) and Luka Doncic (finger), attempting double-digit field goals in back-to-back games and going a dazzling 17-for-23 (73.9 percent). Hachimura is averaging 16.7 points, 3.0 boards, 1.7 assists and 1.7 threes, and he could continue to surge in the short term until Doncic is cleared to return.

Hachimura finished Friday's 128-110 win over the Timberwolves with 23 points (10-13 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and two rebounds during the Lakers' 128-110 win over the Timberwolves on Friday.
Analysis
Hachimura had a quiet Opening Night against the Warriors on Tuesday, but the seventh-year pro had a nice bounce-back performance Friday to finish third on the Lakers in scoring behind Luka Doncic (49) and Austin Reaves (25). Hachimura didn't fill up the box score, but he'll remain in the Lakers' starting lineup and have an elevated workload for as long as LeBron James (sciatica) is sidelined.

Analysis
Considering LeBron James (sciatica) was out, this was a quiet showing for Hachimura. Fantasy managers will be happy with the workload he saw, but they will be hoping for more involvement in the offense going forward. During the 2024-25 regular season, Hachimura put up 13.1 points per game despite a small usage rate of 16.1 percent.
