Slated to start Sunday
Grimes is in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Heat.
Analysis
Grimes will make his first start of the season due to VJ Edgecombe (calf) being sidelined Sunday. Grimes has played a significant role off the bench all year and has been especially involved lately, averaging 16.2 points, 3.6 assists and 3.0 rebounds in 33.4 minutes across the 76ers' past five games.

Struggles with shot in win
Grimes notched 14 points (4-12 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four rebounds and four assists over 39 minutes during Thursday's 123-114 overtime victory over the Bucks.
Analysis
Tyrese Maxey carried the 76ers to victory Thursday, but Grimes delivered a decent line despite his shooting woes. The fifth-year guard should continue to play a solid role off the bench for the 76ers, as he's averaging 16.2 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game over his last five outings.

Catches fire in fourth frame
Grimes finished Wednesday's 121-112 loss to the Raptors with 21 points (7-15 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 3-3 FT), two rebounds, two assists and two steals over 31 minutes.
Analysis
Grimes was quiet through the first three quarters of Wednesday's game, though it's worth noting that he was on the floor for the start of the third quarter ahead of Justin Edwards. Grimes played the entire fourth quarter and for good reason, as he scored 15 of his 21 points in the final frame (including nine points from deep). The fifth-year pro has seen heavy minutes in a reserve role this season, and that shouldn't change even when Paul George (knee) and Kelly Oubre (knee) return from their respective injuries. Grimes has opened the 2025-26 regular season averaging 17.1 points, 4.1 assists, 3.7 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 2.6 threes over 31.3 minutes per game.

Pops for 19 points in win
Grimes ended with 19 points (6-10 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-5 FT), two rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal over 36 minutes during Monday's 110-108 victory over the Clippers.
Analysis
Grimes logged at least 30 minutes for the third time in the past four games, continuing to play a meaningful role despite coming off the bench. He started the third quarter over Dominick Barlow, highlighting his importance to the team. Philadelphia continues to deal with injuries to key players, resulting in plenty of shots for Grimes. As a top-100 player, he should be rostered in all formats for the moment.
