Making first start of season

Analysis

Nance will make his first start of the campaign Wednesday, as the Bucks are short-staffed in the frontcourt. Nance, who inked a multi-year standard contract Monday, is averaging 7.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.0 blocks across 25.3 minutes spanning his last four appearances.

The Bucks signed Nance to a multi-year standard contract Monday.

Analysis

Nance joined the Bucks on a two-year, two-way pact last February. Since he had been active for 49 of his allotted 50 games at the NBA level as a two-way player, the Bucks elected to convert him to a standard contract to ensure he would be available for the rest of the season. In a corresponding move, Milwaukee has waived Cam Thomas. Over 37 appearances so far in 2025-26, Nance has averaged 4.5 points and 2.2 rebounds in 12.1 minutes per contest.
