Leads bench crew against Denver
Reid registered 18 points (7-12 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-4 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal over 27 minutes off the bench during Monday's 127-114 loss to the Nuggets.
Analysis
The 26-year-old big man was the only member of Minnesota's second unit to score in double digits, with the rest of the bench combining for just 17 points. Reid's 18 points were also an individual season high, and through four contests, he's averaging 11.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.3 steals, 1.0 blocks, and 1.0 threes while playing just 23.3 minutes per game, a small but noticeable drop in workload from last season's 27.5 minutes.

Double-doubles in 23 minutes
Reid ended Sunday's 114-110 victory over the Pacers with 16 points (6-12 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists and two steals in 23 minutes.
Analysis
Reid had struggled mightily over Minnesota's first two games, turning in two straight, single-digit scoring stinkers, but he had an easier time asserting himself in the offense Sunday evening due to Anthony Edwards (hamstring) exiting early. It's a quick turnaround for Minnesota's next game Monday, and Edwards' ongoing absence could help Reid build on his momentum from Sunday's outing.

Modest start to campaign
Reid totaled six points (2-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal in 20 minutes during Wednesday's 118-114 victory over Portland.
Analysis
Reid is coming off a career-high season, but he dropped a dud during Opening Night of 2025-26. As long as Rudy Gobert and Julius Randle are healthy, there's not a ton of frontcourt usage to go around. However, Reid has always found a way to be productive, averaging at least 10 points, four rebounds and 1.4 stocks per game in five straight campaigns.
