Not starting Thursday
Powell won't start Thursday's game against the Pacers, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.
Analysis
Tyson Etienne will step into the starting five in the front end of this back-to-back, pushing Powell to the second unit. The rookie first-rounder has averaged 3.8 points and 1.6 rebounds in 18.4 minutes per contest over his last five appearances off the bench.

Struggles with shot despite win
Powell finished with 11 points (4-16 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals over 40 minutes during Tuesday's 96-90 victory over the Bucks.
Analysis
Powell had a woeful shooting performance, making just 25 percent of his attempts, and while his fantasy line was far from eye-popping, he managed to contribute in each of the five major categories. Powell has started every game he's been available for the Nets since March 9. However, his averages of 8.4 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game aren't particularly impressive, especially since he's also shooting 38.4 percent from the floor in that span.

Logs 29 minutes in loss
Powell finished with six points (2-7 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, four assists, one block and two steals in 29 minutes during Friday's 141-107 loss to Atlanta.
Analysis
Powell played at least 28 minutes for the third straight game, seemingly earning himself a spot in the opening five. He has started 12 straight appearances, although during that stretch he has barely been a top-300 player. With averages of just 7.8 points and 1.3 three-pointers, fantasy managers are better off shifting their attention elsewhere.
