Explodes for 27 points
Hunter supplied 27 points (9-13 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 5-5 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one steal over 26 minutes during Monday's 139-132 victory over Charlotte.
Analysis
Hunter finally found his rhythm on the offensive end, scoring at least 20 points for the first time in the past 11 games. After a strong start to the season, Hunter's rapid decline in recent times has led to him being dropped in a number of leagues. While this performance doesn't make him a must-roster player, he is worth considering, especially if you simply need points and threes.

Exits to locker room
Hunter exited to the locker room in the third quarter of Monday's game against the Hornets due to an apparent facial injury, Ethan Sands of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Analysis
Hunter caught an elbow and walked to the locker room with a towel over his face. He can be considered questionable to return until more information comes to light. If the 28-year-old forward is unable to check back in, Nae'Qwan Tomlin and Sam Merrill are candidates for increased playing time the rest of the way.

Modest production continues
Hunter notched 12 points (4-9 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and one assist across 28 minutes during Wednesday's 127-111 loss to Chicago.
Analysis
Hunter shifted to the bench Wednesday, a move that sounds as though it is going to hold, at least for the foreseeable future. After a strong start to the season, it appears as though the coaching staff is going in a different direction. In 13 appearances over the past month, Hunter is averaging 12.9 points and 1.9 three-pointers in 28.1 minutes per game, leaving him well outside the top-200 players in standard formats.

To have bench role moving forward
Hunter will come off the bench Wednesday against Chicago and for the foreseeable future, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Analysis
The Cavs have lost six of their previous nine games, and they're shaking up the starting five amid the cold spell. That means Hunter will come off the bench for the first time all season, with Jaylon Tyson stepping into the starting role. Hunter will continue to come off the bench going forward.
