Analysis
Though he was acquired from the Cavaliers back on Feb. 4, Garland didn't make his Clippers debut until Monday following a lengthy recovery from a right big toe sprain and left big toe injury management. Garland is likely to move into a starting role with the Clippers over time, but head coach Tyronn Lue elected to bring the point guard off the bench in his debut in an attempt to manage his minutes. Garland's addition will be key down the stretch for the Clippers, who appear to be assured a spot in the Play-In Tournament. Garland could be in line for an absence soon with a back-to-back set on tap this weekend, but he should be able to play and could see a slight rise in minutes in the Clippers' next game Wednesday against the Pacers.

The Clippers will be monitoring Garland's minutes closely in his first game action since Jan. 14, and the fact that he's being utilized off the bench will make it a bit easier for the team to manage his workload. Kris Dunn will remain in the starting lineup for the time being, though Garland should eventually transition to the starting point guard spot once he's completed his ramp-up period.

In what will be his Clippers debut, Garland is slated to make his first appearance since Jan. 14 following a lengthy absence due to a right great toe sprain and left big toe injury management. Prior to being traded to the Clippers on Feb. 4, Garland had averaged 18.0 points, 6.9 assists, 2.4 rebounds, 2.3 three-pointers and 0.8 steals in 30.5 minutes per contest over 26 appearances with Cleveland. Given the amount of time that he missed, Garland is likely to be operating with a minutes restriction Monday, but the Clippers could feel comfortable deploying him in the starting five right off the bat.

Analysis
Garland will also go through another scrimmage Thursday, but he's not going to be cleared to play against the Timberwolves. A return against the Pelicans on March 1 could be on the table if Garland continues to progress, so fantasy managers may not have to wait much longer to see him debut for the Clippers.
