Analysis

Barnhizer was held back by a broken foot during his final season at Northwestern in 2024-25, appearing in only 17 games and averaging 17.1 points, 8.8 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 2.3 steals and 1.1 blocks in 36.8 minutes per contest. The 6-foot-5 forward boasts a strong basketball IQ and has shown an ability to fill up the stat sheet, though he doesn't provide much of a threat from the perimeter, as he converted on just 31 percent of his 274 three-point attempts during his four-year run at Northwestern. The reigning NBA champions won't be counting on Barnhizer to contribute as a rookie, with Jonathan Givony of ESPN.com relaying that the 23-year-old will sign a two-way contract.
