Analysis
Coach Doc Rivers opted to start Jericho Sims in the frontcourt next to Myles Turner, with Sims playing just 11 minutes. Portis took over in the second quarter to the tune of 14 points in eight minutes, but it wasn't enough as the team struggled to generate offense as a group. Portis should continue having an elevated role for as long as Giannis Antetokounmpo (groin) remains sidelined. With the superstar out for the past three games, Portis has averaged 19.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.0 steals in 26.7 minutes.

Analysis
Portis started the past two games, but head coach Doc Rivers will be giving Jericho Sims the start Monday night in what is likely a matchup-based decision. Portis should still be able to flirt with minutes in the mid-20s in the reserve role, so he can be viewed as a viable target in daily fantasy leagues.

Analysis
Portis has scored at least 18 points in his last two starts, and he should remain a valuable fantasy option as long as he remains in a starting role. He can help fantasy managers in categories such as points, rebounds and field-goal percentage. Portis can also produce off the bench, and he has double-digit points in seven of his last eight games overall.

Analysis
Portis got the nod at power forward due to the absence of Giannis Antetokounmpo (groin) and made the most of his minutes while ending just two boards shy of a double-double. The veteran has scored in double digits in all but one of his previous seven appearances, averaging 12.6 points, 5.6 boards and 0.7 steals per game in that stretch. Portis will retain fantasy value as long as Antetokounmpo is sidelined.

With Giannis Antetokounmpo set to miss at least one week due to a low-grade left groin strain, Portis will enter the Bucks' starting five for the first time this season. The big man started seven regular-season games for the Bucks during the 2024-25 campaign, averaging 22.1 points, 12.9 rebounds, 4.9 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.3 steals over 34.5 minutes per game during that span.
