Continues to thrive with San Diego
Laureano went 2-for-5 with a home run and three total RBI in a 12-3 win against Minnesota on Saturday.
Analysis
Laureano knocked a run-scoring single in the sixth inning and added a two-run blast in the eighth. The veteran outfielder has gone deep three times in his past five games, pushing his season total to 22 long balls -- two shy of the career-high mark he established in 2019. Since joining the Padres via a July 31st trade, Laureano is slashing .307/.358/.594 with seven home runs, 23 RBI, 18 runs and one stolen base over 27 games.

Blasts grand slam
Laureano went 2-for-4 with a double, a grand slam and an additional run scored in Tuesday's win over the Mariners.
Analysis
Laureano joined "Slam Diego" early Tuesday, blasting a first-inning grand slam off Luis Castillo before even taking the field defensively. Since putting on the brown and gold pinstripes, the outfielder has been outstanding, slashing .330/.379/.625 with a 1.004 OPS, four doubles, two triples, six homers and 20 RBI in 24 games. Despite his torrid run, manager Mike Shildt has stuck with Laureano in the seventh spot of the lineup rather than moving him up.

Clubs homer in Monday's loss
Laureano went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 9-6 loss to the Mariners.
Analysis
Laureano went deep in the seventh inning, but the Padres weren't able to build more of a comeback effort. The outfielder has hit safely in 11 of his last 13 games, going 17-for-46 (.370) in that span. He's moved over to center field in the absence of Jackson Merrill (ankle). For the year, Laureano has 20 homers, 62 RBI, 59 runs scored, five stolen bases and a .297/.360/.542 slash line through 105 contests between the Padres and the Orioles.
