Homers in loss

Trout went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's 7-3 loss to the Angels.

Analysis

Trout opened the scoring in the first inning with a two-out, 423-foot blast off Carlos Rodon, his 12th homer of the year. The 33-year-old Trout has hits in seven of his last eight contests, going 10-for-29 (.345) with a 1.009 OPS in that span. He's slashing .236/.323/.466 with 22 runs scored, 12 RBI and a pair of stolen bases across 201 plate appearances this season.

Smacks 11th home run

Trout went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and two walks during Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Orioles.

Analysis

Trout has already eclipsed his number of at-bats from last season in an injury-riddled campaign and hit his 11th home run of 2025 on Saturday. His season at the plate has not lived up to his usual high standards, as the 33-year-old is slashing just .226/.313/.465 through 179 plate appearances. Still, Trout's .777 OPS is on track to be the worst since his rookie season but is still comfortably above the MLB average.
