Swats go-ahead homer

Olson went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and a second run scored in Tuesday's 3-2 win over Seattle.

Analysis

Olson came through in the ninth inning, taking Andres Munoz deep to break a 2-2 tie. With four homers over five games to start May, Olson hasn't slowed down after setting a blistering pace early in the season. The veteran first baseman is hitting .308 with a 1.077 OPS, 13 long balls, 33 RBI, 15 runs scored, 15 doubles and no stolen bases over 37 contests this season. In terms of both production and durability, Olson is one of the safest bats in baseball right now, and that's with his BABIP at .326 this year, seven points lower than last year when he batted .272 with an .850 OPS over 162 regular-season games.

Mashes NL-leading 12th homer

Olson went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Monday's loss to the Mariners.

Analysis

All four of Atlanta's runs in the game came on solo shots, with Olson launching his off Logan Gilbert in the sixth inning. It was Olson's fifth long ball in the last eight games, and on the season the veteran first baseman leads the National League in homers (12) and RBI (32) to go along with a .300/.383/.664 slash line in 36 contests.

Slugs homer No. 10

Olson went 1-for-3 with two walks, a solo home run and a second run scored in Friday's win over the Rockies.

Analysis

The first baseman took Jose Quintana deep in the fourth inning to get Atlanta on the board and spark a comeback from an early 6-0 deficit. It was Olson's 10th homer of the season, one back of National League leader Kyle Schwarber, and five of them have come in the last 11 games -- a stretch in which he's slashing .333/.388/.762 with 11 runs and 13 RBI.
