Homers Tuesday

Marte went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's win over the White Sox.

Analysis

Marte opened up the scoring with a solo blast to right center in the first inning. He now has homered three times over the last five games and has 15 hits in his last 26 at-bats. Marte currently owns a 1.032 OPS, which would sit third in all of baseball among qualified hitters behind Aaron Judge and Cal Raleigh.

Day off Sunday

Marte is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies.

Analysis

Marte started the previous 20 games after missing some time in late May due to an illness, but he'll take a seat Sunday after going 10-for-15 with five doubles and a home run in the past three contests. Ildemaro Vargas will step in at the keystone and bat second in the series finale for Arizona.

Gets on base five times Saturday

Marte went 4-for-4 with two doubles, a walk, one RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Rockies.

Analysis

Marte has gone 10-for-15 over his last three contests, adding seven RBI in that span. The second baseman is clearly taking advantage of this weekend's series in Colorado, especially since he's had momentum all month -- he's batting .371 (26-for-70) with 10 extra-base hits over 18 games in June. Marte is now hitting .311 on the year, the first time he's been over .300 since May 5. He has a 1.007 OPS and has added 13 home runs, 30 RBI, 43 runs scored, 11 doubles and two stolen bases over 50 games.

Big day at Coors

Marte went 3-for-5 with two doubles, a home run, five RBI and two additional runs scored in Friday's 14-8 win over Colorado.

Analysis

Coors Field was a launching pad Friday -- the two teams combined for six home runs and 14 extra-base hits. Marte belted a three-run homer in the fourth inning and then doubled in two more in the seventh. It was the second consecutive three-hit game for Marte, who is lighting it up in June. He's gone 22-for-66 (.333) with a 1.042 OPS, five home runs, three doubles, 16 RBI and 17 runs scored through 17 games this month.

Three hits vs. Toronto

Marte went 3-for-5 with an RBI double and two runs scored in Thursday's 9-5 win over the Blue Jays.

Analysis

Marte registered his second three-hit game of the season Thursday while extending the Diamondbacks' lead to seven runs in the sixth with an RBI double. Marte has been hot at the plate in June, slashing .317/.431/.533 with 15 runs scored, four home runs and 11 RBI in 72 plate appearances this month.
