Sitting versus southpaw

Lowe is absent from the lineup for Monday's game in Philadelphia.

Analysis

Southpaw Cristopher Sanchez is drawing the start for the Phillies, so it's not a surprise that Lowe will begin this one on the bench. Christopher Morel and Jonny DeLuca will be the corner outfielders for the Rays for the series opener.

Nabs two more bases

Lowe went 1-for-3 with a walk and two stolen bases Tuesday against the Twins.

Analysis

Lowe continues to be aggressive on the basepaths, as 11 of his 21 stolen bases have come in his last 22 games. His all-around performance has also improved after an injury-plagued first half, as he's maintained a .291 average with four homers, 16 RBI and 16 runs scored across 38 contests since the All-Star break.
