While Ferrer managed to hang on for his 11th save, it certainly didn't come easy for the left-hander -- Ferrer's now given up at least one run in five of his last six appearances, allowing eight earned runs on 14 hits across seven innings in that span. Overall, the 25-year-old Ferrer sports a 4.48 ERA with a 1.27 WHIP and 71 strikeouts over 76.1 innings this season.

Ferrer (4-4) blew the save and took the loss against the White Sox on Friday, allowing two runs (one earned) on two hits in the ninth inning. He did not record a walk or strikeout.
Analysis
Ferrer was called upon to close out a late rally but allowed a two-run homer to Colson Montgomery in the ninth inning. After posting 14 straight scoreless appearances from Aug. 6 to Sept. 9, the southpaw has given up seven earned runs over his last five outings. For the season, he has 21 holds and 10 saves with a 4.42 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 68:16 K:BB across 75.1 innings.

Analysis
Ferrer gave up a leadoff homer to Eli White in the ninth before bearing down to pick up his 10th save this year. The left-hander has been struggling of late, giving up six runs on nine hits in his last four appearances (five innings), though he appears to still have a grasp on the ninth-inning job. Overall, Ferrer's posted a 4.36 ERA with a 1.24 WHIP and 68 strikeouts across 74.1 innings this season.
