Yielding to Vaughn at first base
Bauers is not in the lineup for Monday's game in San Diego.
Analysis
Bauers had a recent stretch with four straight starts at first base, but he'll yield the position to Andrew Vaughn on Monday for the fifth time across the last seven tilts. The 29-year-old Bauers did draw one start in left field during the latter stretch, but he looks to have fallen back behind Vaughn on the first-base depth chart.

On bench Sunday
Bauers is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.
Analysis
The left-handed-hitting Bauers will take a seat against left-hander Matthew Liberatore, allowing Andrew Vaughn to draw the start at first base. Bauers has taken hold of the strong side of a platoon at first base with Vaughn as the regular season winds down.

Reaches base four times
Bauers went 3-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Friday's 7-1 loss to the Cardinals.
Analysis
Bauers logged his first multi-hit effort since Sept. 7 versus the Pirates. The first baseman looked to be gaining playing time early in the week, but this was just his third start in the last five games as Andrew Vaughn has reclaimed a share of the action at first base. Bauers is batting .405 (15-for-37) over 14 games this month and is up to a .235/.345/.400 slash line with seven home runs, eight steals, 27 RBI and 27 runs scored across 200 plate appearances this season.
