Returning to lineup
Wilson (hand) will start at shortstop and bat second Saturday against the Blue Jays.
Analysis
Wilson sat out three consecutive games after taking a pitch off his left hand Tuesday, but he'll manage to make it back for the penultimate game before the All-Star break. The 23-year-old shortstop has gone 3-for-12 with two RBI and a run scored in five games since the beginning of July.

Still sidelined
Wilson (hand) is out of the lineup for Friday's game against Toronto.
Analysis
Wilson isn't part of the starting nine for a third consecutive game after being hit by a pitch in the left hand Tuesday. The shortstop should still be considered day-to-day. In his place, Max Muncy will bat seventh and play shortstop.

Managing bruised hand
Wilson was diagnosed with a left hand contusion after getting hit by a pitch in the bottom of the first inning during Tuesday's 10-1 win over Atlanta, Jessica Kleinschmidt of Baseball America reports.
Analysis
Wilson was pulled from Tuesday's contest immediately after getting plunked, but he seems to have escaped with little more than a bruise on his hand after X-rays returned negative. The 23-year-old shortstop should be able to avoid a trip to the injured list, though the Athletics may still give him a day or two off to heal.

Removed after HBP
Wilson was removed from Tuesday's game against Atlanta after getting hit on the left arm by a pitch, Jessica Kleinschmidt of Baseball America reports.
Analysis
A 97-mph fastball connected with Wilson's arm during his first-inning plate appearance, immediately forcing the young shortstop out of the game. The A's will presumably take him in for imaging, and an update on his status should be available in the near future. Max Schuemann entered the game as Wilson's replacement and would be the favorite to start at shortstop if the latter needs to miss any amount of time.
